The Catalans are aiming to wrestle the La Ligatitle from Real Madrid who won it last season and a win at home to Granada will set them on their way to achieving that target.

Barcelona have already won the Spanish Copa Del Rey title for this season as masterminded by Netherlands football icon Ronald Koeman and they could make it a double for the season with the league title. Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, Netherlands international Frenkie De Jong and star player Lionel Messi (2) all found the back of the net as Barcelona sealed the Copa Del Rey with a 4-0 thumping of Athletic Bilbao. The Catalans were able to avenge their Spanish Super Cup final defeat at the hands of the same opposition.

Former Netherlands international Koeman took charge of Barcelona last summer and he had a difficult start to life as the manager of the Nou Camp outfit but things have changed in recent months. He has been able to recover from that poor start to take Barcelona to within one win of the summit in the league. He left his job as the Netherlands manager to take the Barcelona job.

Barcelona have six games to go in the league this season and this includes an home game with current leaders Atletico Madrid at the start of next month. The other title challengers namely Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Real Madrid have five games each.

For Barcelona to win the league this season, they need just five wins and a draw from those six games as long as they avoid defeat in the Atletico Madrid game.
