Netherlands fails to qualify for Euro 2016 but Danny Blind won’t quit

Netherlands has failed to qualify and get into the Euro 2016 after losing against Czech Republic with a final scoreboard which displayed 3-2 in favor of the Czech team which managed to finish at the top of Group A with 22 points while Netherlands had to settle with the 4th spot which wasn’t enough for them to get past the group stages of the European competition.

Danny Blind and his players simply couldn’t collect enough points to secure a higher position in Group A but despite this early exit from the Euro 2016, the 54 year old Dutch coach has stated that he will not give up on his team and he wants to continue being in charge of the national team.

The Dutch national side has gone from reaching the 3rd spot of the 2014 World Cup to not being able to qualify to the 2016 Euro’s but despite their recent downfall and disintegration, Danny Blind still seems optimistic as the Dutchman is looking forward for what the future holds for his team.

“We didn’t make it and it is very disappointing for the players, for me and for the whole of the Netherlands. But we have to look towards the future now. We have to look forward and qualify for Russia 2018. That is our next goal.

“I want to stay with the Oranje. I don’t feel damaged myself. Above all else, we now need to analyze where we went wrong and look ahead. I have taken this job for a long period of time. It is not for me to talk about my position. I can only say that I am not stopping.” Netherland’s Danny Blind told the media as he voiced his desire to remain in charge of the national football side despite their recent disappointments.
