VAN GAAL HAS PREM DREAMS

Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal has said that he wants to win the Premier League one day. Van Gaal is one of the famous names in management and he has won league titles in two major European leagues – Germany and Spain – so far. He has now revealed his desire to one day manage a club in England to win the Premier league. Currently managing the Dutch national team, Van Gaal is looking to win the FIFA World Cup 2014 as well. The Dutch have come close to winning the last few major tournaments.

The former Bayern Munich manager recently revealed that he will be quitting as the national team manager after the end of the World Cup. He has also confirmed that it would be his last international job as well. This would allow the 61-year-old to return to club football, and he is open to offers from England. He has also won league titles in Holland as well with the likes of Ajax. Van Gaal took over a struggling Dutch team that had just endured a disappointing Euro 2012 campaign, but he has managed to introduce new life into the team.

The Dutch still remains one of the strongest teams due to the presence of players like Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie.

“I have done it in Spain, been a champion, I have done it in Germany, and I think that the third place is for the Premier League, and because of that I want to be a coach of that league. Especially because of the atmosphere also. You do not know what pressure I have in the Netherlands. Van Persie was happy to play at Arsenal but he is an ambitious player, he wants to win everything and he has not won anything,” said Van Gaal.
