Barcelona fans have been appeased by the club for their patience and the errors made by the previous management judging by their recent business activities in the transfer window. Not only have Barca signed Sergio Agüero, Eric Garcia (both from Manchester City), and Memphis Depay (as a free agent after leaving French club Lyon), they have also continued to hold contract negotiations with captain Lionel Messi and the president has promised that the Argentine superstar will remain at the club next season.

With those players already secured, Barcelona are expected to be a force to reckon with in Europe next season and they could be one of the most lethal sides to play against in the coming football campaign, especially given the fact that they have more talented attackers in Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, and Ansu Fati. The signing of Depay was a needed one as the club’s fans kept calling for major transfers that could play a role in convincing Messi to sign his new contract at the club.

However, while it is one thing for a club to sign a player, it is another thing for the player to make make the team better by improving the overall performance and quality of the squad. Depay’s arrival at Camp Nou is expected to be a profiting one but will the Netherlands international attacker be a hit in Spain next season?

Everything is already in place for Depay to succeed at Barcelona, with the first reason being that he will be working with a manager he already has a close relationship with in Ronald Koeman. The pair worked together at the Netherlands national team and their reunion is expected to yield positive results. Also, Memphis will be allowed to play in his preferred position and that’s another huge reason he should make a big impact for Barcelona next season.
